Understanding the Challenge

Weight loss is harder
than it should be.

Weight is influenced by far more than calories. Hormones, insulin resistance, thyroid function, chronic stress, metabolic adaptation, and genetics all play active roles in how your body stores and burns fat. For many patients, these invisible factors are working against them — no matter how disciplined their diet or exercise routine.

That's why we don't offer a one-size-fits-all program. At eHormone & Wellness Center, we identify what's actually driving your weight, then build a personalized plan that works with your biology — not against it. Our licensed providers oversee every step, from initial lab work through ongoing monitoring and dosing adjustments.

Who we help Patients struggling with insulin resistance, slow metabolism, hormone-related weight gain, or those who have tried other programs without lasting success. We serve patients across all of Texas and Arizona via telehealth, with in-person visits available for Texas patients.

Hormonal Imbalance

Low testosterone, estrogen dominance, thyroid dysfunction, and elevated cortisol can all directly cause weight gain and block fat loss.

Insulin Resistance

When cells stop responding to insulin efficiently, the body stores more fat — especially around the abdomen — making standard diets largely ineffective.

Metabolic Adaptation

Repeated dieting causes the body to lower its resting metabolic rate — meaning you burn fewer calories even at rest, making continued weight loss progressively harder.

Appetite & Satiety Dysregulation

Hunger isn't just willpower — it's driven by hormones like ghrelin and leptin. When these signals are disrupted, appetite becomes physiologically difficult to manage.

Chronic Stress & Sleep

Elevated cortisol promotes fat storage, disrupts sleep, increases cravings for high-calorie foods, and directly undermines fat-burning hormones.

Why It Works

Benefits patients commonly report
with medically supervised weight loss.

Modern weight loss medications work through multiple biological pathways simultaneously — delivering results that go well beyond the scale.

Clinical studies show 15–22%+ body weight reduction with GLP-1 medications under medical supervision.

🍽️

Reduced Appetite & Cravings

Targets brain satiety centers to curb hunger and reduce cravings — especially for sugary and high-fat foods.

🩸

Better Blood Sugar Control

Improves insulin sensitivity and stabilizes glucose levels — reducing the need for additional diabetes medications.

❤️

Improved Cardiovascular Health

Reduces blood pressure, cholesterol, and other cardiovascular risk factors associated with excess weight.

🔥

Increased Metabolism

Breaks through metabolic adaptation so your body becomes more efficient at burning fat for fuel.

💧

Reduced Inflammation

Weight loss reduces chronic inflammatory markers linked to joint pain, immune dysfunction, and heart disease.

🦴

Better Joint Health & Mobility

Carrying less weight reduces joint stress and pain — particularly beneficial for patients with arthritis.

🧠

Mental Health & Energy

Patients frequently report improved self-esteem, motivation, mood, and sustained energy throughout the day.

🫀

Lower Fatty Liver Risk

Reduces hepatic fat deposits, helping to reverse or prevent non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

For patients who prefer oral medications, are not candidates for GLP-1 therapy, or want to combine approaches, we offer several additional treatment options. All are prescribed as part of a supervised weight loss plan.

Appetite Suppressant
Adipex (Phentermine)

A well-established oral appetite suppressant that works by halting hunger signals to the brain — reducing appetite and boosting energy levels. An effective option for patients looking for a non-injectable, lower-cost approach to weight management.

  • Suppresses appetite and reduces food intake
  • Boosts energy and metabolism
  • Can be combined with other medications for enhanced results
  • Oral — no injections required
  • May be billable to pharmacy insurance
Lipotropic Injection
Lipo-B Injections

Lipo-B injections deliver a combination of lipotropic agents, essential vitamins, and amino acids that help mobilize fat stores, support liver function, and improve energy metabolism. Often used as an add-on to GLP-1 therapy or as a standalone boost for fat burning.

  • Promotes fat breakdown and liver function
  • Supports energy production and metabolism
  • Targets stubborn fat deposits
  • Contains methionine, inositol, choline, B12
  • Effective as a standalone or adjunct therapy
Combination Oral
Phentermine / Topiramate

A combination oral medication that pairs appetite suppression with a neural signaling component to reduce food cravings and increase satiety. Often effective for patients who respond partially to phentermine alone.

  • Dual-mechanism appetite control
  • Reduces cravings and promotes fullness
  • Oral — no injections required
  • Individualized dosing based on response
Combination Oral
Naltrexone / Bupropion (Contrave)

Contrave combines two medications that work on the brain's reward and hunger pathways to reduce appetite and control food cravings. Particularly effective for patients with emotional eating patterns or food-related cravings.

  • Targets brain reward and appetite centers
  • Reduces emotional and craving-driven eating
  • Oral — no injections required
  • May be covered by insurance in some cases

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

All new patients are required to complete an Initial Medical Consultation ($150) and a Follow-Up Lab Review ($250) before enrolling in any weight loss program. The consultation allows your provider to assess your health history and goals, and the lab review provides the metabolic and hormonal data needed to design your personalized plan. Labs can often be billed to your insurance.
Both are once-weekly injections that suppress appetite and promote weight loss. Semaglutide activates one hormone pathway (GLP-1) and typically produces 15%+ body weight loss. Tirzepatide activates two pathways (GLP-1 and GIP), producing stronger appetite suppression and greater average weight loss — typically 20%+ — particularly for patients with insulin resistance. Your provider will recommend the right option based on your labs, history, and goals.
Compounded GLP-1 medications use the same active pharmaceutical ingredients as brand-name versions and are prepared by licensed, accredited compounding pharmacies. All prescriptions are written and monitored by our licensed providers. As with any medication, there are potential side effects — most commonly nausea, which typically improves as your body adjusts. Your provider will monitor your response and adjust dosing as needed.
Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are generally not covered by insurance. Lab work is frequently billable to insurance, and we will work with you to maximize coverage. For brand-name options (Wegovy® or Zepbound®), insurance may apply if eligibility criteria are met — we'll help explore this during your consultation. Oral medications like phentermine may be covered under standard pharmacy benefits.
Most patients notice reduced appetite within the first 1–2 weeks of starting GLP-1 therapy. Measurable weight loss typically begins within 4–8 weeks, with the most significant results occurring over 3–6 months of consistent use. Individual results vary based on dose, adherence, and biological factors. Your provider will set realistic expectations at your initial visit.
The most common side effects of GLP-1 medications are gastrointestinal — nausea, mild stomach discomfort, and reduced appetite (which is also the desired effect). These typically improve within a few weeks as your body adapts. Starting at a low dose and titrating gradually significantly reduces side effects. Your provider will monitor your response and can adjust your dose or recommend strategies to minimize discomfort.
Yes. There is no minimum commitment. You can cancel your monthly membership at any time with 14 days' written notice. Auto-pay is required for all active memberships. The initial consultation and lab review fees are non-refundable.
We currently serve patients in Texas and Arizona. All consultations, follow-ups, and monitoring are available via telehealth — so you can access care from anywhere in either state. In-person visits are available for Texas patients only. Prescriptions are shipped directly to your home regardless of which state you're in.
Yes. Established patients who are stable on their current regimen with recent lab work may be eligible to transfer and begin the monthly membership directly without restarting titration. Your provider will review your records at the initial consultation and confirm eligibility.
Absolutely — and this is one of our key advantages. Hormonal imbalances (low testosterone, thyroid dysfunction, estrogen dominance) frequently contribute to weight gain and can limit the effectiveness of GLP-1 therapy on their own. Our providers can coordinate hormone optimization and weight loss treatments into a single comprehensive plan. Many patients see significantly better results when both are addressed together.
